I like my tea in a china mug but I have never seen a decent design.

hairygodmother - MN is just fab. I learn so many interesting random things in unexpected places. What kind of job was that? I paint (modern art) for pleasure so pure colour is something I like. I never knew what Pantone was until now though.

CNyle - how many colours are there, just out of interest?

ABD - Print/publishing. I was responsible for the printing end of books, as it were. Pantone books v useful for making sure the inks have come out the right colour if you like being anal about that kind of thing! They actually have several different colour repros depending on what type of paper you use, all v obsessive. V good for making sure people print the colours you want, basically. But they look much better on a mug!

And re how many Pantone colours there are - hundreds and hundreds, although I think John Lewis have gone for the ones which are just made up of one ink so prob not that many more than you've already got!
