Tesco.com are ALWAYS LATE, Ocado too expensive. What's sainsburystoyou like?

I'm sitting here fuming for the umpteenth time waiting for a delivery that's already over 1.5h late. At least this time they rang me which is a first, but said they'd be here by now.

I use them because they're cheap. I always spend twice as much if I use Ocado. How does Sainsburys compare?

FBG it's more a problem when you have a lot of recipe type meals, so I quite often want a leek here, 2 courgettes, a few carrots there etc rather than a full bag of veg each time (which is always where box schemes fall short for me). A huge proportion of my weekly shop is veg, so buying veg elsewhere totally defeats the point for me.

Whoah - Tilly, you got a voucher? I need to send an email complaint. I didn't even think of that when they were late (for the first time and I had lots of calls) a few days ago!

Hi Bling... yes - the driver brought the voucher with him. He was only a couple of minutes late and I hadn't really noticed

I have tried them all and Ocado were streets ahead. We have been using them now almost weekly for over a year and they have NEVER been late, we have NEVER had any items substituted/not available and on the one occasion a couple of eggs were broken the driver processed a refund there and then - they also managed to get to us in the bad snow we had in January when we couldn't even get our car out of the village!

On the price front, they price match all their branded stuff to Tesco and they also discount Waitrose branded stuff to be cheaper on the internet than in their stores.

think I must be their number one fan

Sainsburys were good the few times I have used them.. in fact I should do it much more! Thanks for reminding me how much I liked it.

Damn it. DH was the one who greeted the driver as he turned up after I'd gone to bed.

[bearing in mind DH is the one who didn't notice that the packers had replaced avocados with beetroot so you see how it's entirely possible he MISSED the voucher?!]

Ocado seem hugely expensive, if you compare on mysupermarket.com.
