I am sick of my old mismatched saucepans, I've managed to lose a lid, the handles burn me and my frying pan has a wonky bottom. Help I say, help!

Can anyone recommend a saucepan set and a decent frying pan that's not too pricey. I've decided it's time to hurl my old set (set that's a laugh) out of the window in the bin.

Not sure exactly what I am looking for but I am put off by aluminium, should I be?? does it hold any risks? or is that a load of poppycock?
