Hi, I'm after a cuddly dinosaur for DS's 4th birthday but have had no luck finding one. Does anyone know where I could get one? Thanks

cuddly critters. They're online.

Oh,wow what a great response, thanks! They are so lovely! Seeker - what colour is Bronty (its a bit difficult to see from the picture)? He sounds perfect as DS wants a bedtime dinosaur. Did you buy from allthingsbeanie.com? LOL's at your bumping!

The NHM ones say they are poseable, are they still bedtime cuddly? They also look lovely but theres a £5 delivery charge which bumps up the cost.

I rather stupidly googled 'dinosaur teddy bear' instead of soft toy so am amazed how many there are. Off to look at some of these recommendations, thanks!

He's a dark greeny-blue - mostly green with a hint of blue if you see what I mean. Well, that's the colour ds's used to be - he's now a bit faded in places after much cuddling, sucking and washing!

Our Bronty actually came from a charity shop - ds crawled across the floor, hauled him out of a basket of other soft toys and refused to let go!

the nhm ones come is 3 sizes:

"baby" - about 6 inches, i guess (not very good with measurements, sorry!)

"normal" - decent sized - triceratops is 14 inches nose to tail - not poseable, very squashy & huggy.

"poseable" - still soft ish, but not as huggable really - quite a firm soft toy.

whereabouts in the country are you? there's probably a shop nearby that sells them (we've bought all ours from shops, not form nhm)

Look on the Natural History Museum Shop site - you can shop online and they have a big range of different dinosaur soft toys.

Well seeker you will be pleased to hear I will get a Bronty and will also get the parasaurolophus from the Natural History Museum.

What is it they say about dinosaurs being like men and buses..you wait ages for one to come along and then they all come along at once! Thanks everyone!

I am pleased - and I've told ds who is delighted!

Hope you like him. Or it could be a her, I suppose!
