Wii: recommend games and acessories for 4-6 year olds

We are new to the Wii. DD (almost 6) is getting one for her birthday and I need some recommendations from the wisdom of mumsnet about what games and accessories are suitable. I prefer educational but want her to have fun too. DS will be 4 in May so looking for some age appropriate things for him too.

We have ordered just the Wii. I think we will need a second controller. What does one do wth a nunchuck? Anything else I should get? Oh, the remote chargers, are they good? I hate the idea of consuming oodles of batteries.

Oh, that reminds me. I was thinking about the Lego Star Wars game for DS. (Batman is 7+ and I'm banning anything that does not say 3+ on it for now). Am also attempting to ban frilly hideous princess crap (this attempt will no doubt fail before the year is over).

Lego Star Wars is good.
Also Boogie is the Wii equivalent of SingStar and comes with its own microphone.

I think lego star wars will be a bit old for your DS unless you/DH is willing to play it with him - it takes a little while to get to a point where you can swish your light sabre around smashing everyone to bricks .

It is fun, but when left to their own devices DS and visiting friends generally seem to end up back with Mario Karts or Monkey Ball.

Oh. Off to check out Boogie...

Do you mean Boogie or Boogie Superstar?
