Ford Galaxy?

Needing to replace dead much-mourned Renault . We need space for 3 tall adults, 3 growing DC and lots of crap.

Have found a nice looking affordable one locally. What is the general opinion? Reliable? Comfortable? Cheap to fix? Wanted an Espace but they seem to hold their price a lot judging by the ones I've seen.

We recently got an R reg Galaxy and so far it is fantastic!

Middle seat is only lap belt unfortunately. But it is so roomy.

I like the boot - so easy to pop a child in to change nappy/clothes or even have a picnic.

So far it has been surprisingly easy to handle

But but but, I want flexibility to put combo of 3 child seats across middle... not have to always bung one a row back! How silly not to have 3 point seatbelts.....hmmmm, have seen a couple pointedly advertising 3x3point belts in middle - presumably have been retro-fitted or something...maybe back to the drawing board (am getting bit bored of car specs now!)

Hurrah! Sounds better and better!

I was so afraid I wasn't going to get any responses. I considered starting this thread again with an outrageous and misleading title ('MIL ate DD's guinea pig with tabasco' for eg) to get some interest just in case any aghast posters might also happen to have an opinion on MPVs.

Pleased to have been of service, Orm. What a refreshing change to have a note of thanks.
I almost didn't post on this because I am soooo fed up with people who ask for help and then don't respond to replies, give a polite thank-you or even, in extreme cases, don't bother to come back to the thread at all after their OP!
