can anyone recommend a good photographer in the North Hampshire area?

I am thinking of getting some professional photos done of our family and wondered if anyone could recommend a good photographer who is not too expensive, friendly and good with children.
We've been given some money and thought it might be nice to spend some of it on photos so I'd be willing to spend a couple of hundred pounds I think. I'd like to go somewhere where we'll get lots taken, some of just the boys and some of the 4 of us, the trendy lying about the floor playing type ones, not old fashioned posed ones. Then be able to buy a few different ones for us- maybe to have 4 or 5 in one frame- and then some for grandparents.

Any ideas? All I know is not to go with Venture as I've heard lots of bad things about them.

Kewcumber's niece isn't that far from you and is just starting out, I think.

(just starting out so quite cheap, I mean. I've seen some of her stuff and it's good)

do you know any other details? I'm guessing if I put kewcumber's neice into Google I won't get very far!

I've forgotten her name (I used to be good with names before I had DCs, now I'm useless). But I found Kewcumber on another thread and posted a link to this thread so she may be along. And might suggest her niece adds "Kewcumber's niece" to her page's META tags for ease of Googling...

cheers, hopefully she'll come along then.

Anyone else out there with any more suggestions?

hi deb .

we used pixie photo at mothercare, basingstoke when we had DS. the photos look like Venture, but we still had enough money to eat and pay the mortgage afterwards.
