Yes, and yes. They are fantastic, much better than Dysons and I just love mine - which reminds me that hoovering has been sadly neglected recently!

staryeyed · 16/01/2009 19:36

yes I have and love it. see other thread today.

jasper · 16/01/2009 19:44

yes got one and love it. Had a dyson for years and love it too but OMG the sebo takes the biscuit. Faaar better.
John lewis are doing the Komfort 1 for £100 with a 5 year guarantee
you cant go wrong for that sort of money

clam · 16/01/2009 21:02

Fab. Light, versatile and efficient.

(wish I was too!)

bodiddly · 16/01/2009 21:03

yes ... its great and gets huge amount of use. Dp is borderline ocd where hoovering is concerned - only downstairs though, just wish he could get as worked up about the staircase and the bedrooms!

Tinker · 16/01/2009 21:04

Better than a Miele?

duckyfuzz · 16/01/2009 21:08

oh yes we got one in the summer its fab, love it

Tinker · 16/01/2009 21:13

I can't see that £100 one on JL site. Any chance of a link?

BirdyArms · 16/01/2009 21:21

I bought one recently and have been pleased with it. I thought that it was better value than a Miele when I was comparing the two in JL although I think that Mieles are better looking.

mrsleroyjethrogibbs · 16/01/2009 21:45

here however its showing at £169.
its just they havent updated the website. In store at new year in the Norwich branch they were reduced permanantly to £100. I have the reciept to prove it so you can say that you 'know' someone who bought one for that price

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 16/01/2009 21:47

yes and yes - we love ours DH has had it for over 10 years and we have never had any problems at all - it picks up better than the dyson our cleaner uses.

princessmel · 16/01/2009 21:47

My mum has one and my old boss (I was their nanny)had one.
They are the best hoovers I have ever used.
A man in John Lewis told my boss when she bought it that they are the type of hoover that gets brought in for repairs /faults the least.

I have just ordered the Sebo upright x4!
It will be a companion for my beloved Henry cylinder.

thanks ladies.

I am on my second - first lasted 10 years and still hoovers the car. Can't be bettered. Just to say that their customer service is good too. I rang on Tuesday to order a "hose retention clip" that ds had broken in his enthuiasm (he is 3) and it came on Thursday free of charge!

Tinker · 16/01/2009 23:39

Thank you mrsleroy, will look next time I'm in JL

SweetApril · 17/01/2009 12:56

Does anyone have the Sebo Felix upright? I'm a sucker for design and I just think these look fab. I've read one or two reviews online which say they are generally good but inclined to fall over (when using the detachable hose, I think). I'd really like to hear MNers opinions though. Also, would be great if anyone happens to know how they did on the Which report.

I've been debating over this for weeks as I really want an upright but the Miele cat and dog and Sebo cylinders seem most popular here.

DontCallMeBaby · 17/01/2009 13:27

SweetApril I wanted another upright when my Hoover died, but in the end couldn't ignore the Which? reviews and ended up with a Miele cylinder. I'm completely a convert now, wouldn't go back to an upright.

My parents have a Sebo upright, my mum's not all that keen on it, but I can't remember why - which isn't helpful. Which? definitely rated Miele cylinders better than Sebo uprights for hard floors though, and they only have one carpeted room in their house.

SweetApril · 17/01/2009 13:38

Thanks, DontCallMeBaby. Reason I want an upright is I had cylinders for years and being tall got fed up with having to bend over all the time to push them around. Then got an upright which was so much more comfortable to push - but it's a Dyson and has turned out to be not so great in lots of other respects...

tumtumtetum · 17/01/2009 13:45

I have a sebo upright and it is fab fab fab. I had an old pull-around one and i thought that the carpets in my new house had had it, got the sebo and hey presto - like having new carpets!

Must admit the person in JL and the reviews on the net all seem to say that pul-arounds are the best and best value but after moving from my pokey flat to a whole house I wanted an upright like a grownup .

sweetapril the felix ones are gorgeous but they felt a bit wobbly and tippy. I got the ugly standard sebo and it's so good it really doean't matter - plus it spends most of it's time hidden away and I realised that function over form is probably the way to go hoover-wise!!! Know what you mean though i wanted the orange one

Tinker · 17/01/2009 15:34

Well, have just been to JL and it's not reduced in mine. So, bought a Bosch one instead (figuring it's German therefore good) for £99.00. As a slattern I've got a mental price ceiling of £100 I think. Please do not post that Bosch cleaners are crap

tumtumtetum · 17/01/2009 15:48

I am sure Bosch are the creme de la creme of the hoover world Tinker, and you and your new vacuum will spend many happy hours together

Tinker · 19/01/2009 23:00

I've not even used it yet, that's how much of a slattern I am

chipkid · 19/01/2009 23:01

have a sebo-its brilliant
