Bedroom furniture and storage for DS (year 3). Flexa? Ikea? Somewhere else?

He will be keeping his curent bed and row of wardrobes but his storage bits (GLTC unit with colourful boxes and a hand made MDF cubed bookcase painted in same bright primary colours) need updating now. He needs more shalves for all his books, smaller storage space for little quirky things and a selctiong of cupboards/pull out drawers/open spaces we think. I've got the Flexa catalogue and although it looks good it only comes in white or pine and it's expensive. The Ikea range that I've seen on line hasn't really excited me. Can anyone recommend anything else please? I like the idea of buying from a range so that perhaps in three years time for example we would take out some toy stage and replace it with a computer desk.

TIA
