maclaren thats a bit odd that phil and teds went off ebay the over day sold for £137 i know as i was watching it as its in the next village to where i am lol. Looks nice though there was no pictures of it last time

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2009 20:24

carrie thats bloody awful she shouldn't have kids who have infections. i hope dd is ok.

got four watchers on xt already, is it you lot?!! ha,ha!

MrsMagooo · 13/01/2009 20:27

Carrie - she should have said she wouldn't look after him!!

Ooo not bad going Nicola!!

I had someone email me re the Dreami as it's on Ebay & I'm including the adapters with it - she asked me where she could buy the adapters for the Dreami she's just bought

She said she'd looked everywhere for them but no luck - well she didn't look very hard as there's loads on Ebay!!!!

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2009 20:30

what is it with ebay sellers, don't they drive you NUTS! thats why i hate selling on there, wonder how many stoooopid questions i will get now about the maclarens. dp saying i've listed xt too cheap if got all those watchers, i reckon could get £50 for the footmuffs and bn comfort packs alone? maybe not. leaving it all on together for now!

MrsMagooo · 13/01/2009 20:31

How much is on for??

MrsMagooo · 13/01/2009 20:33

Mothercare currently have them for £135 with black comfort pack.

I'd sell the footmuff & other comfort packs seperate tbh!!

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2009 20:36

got it on £135 all in.
one sold ex display over £140!!
look what this went for! BARGAIN!

SweetApril · 13/01/2009 20:40

Hi. Don't mean to be cheeky but could I just jump on here and ask Nicola and Carrielou's advice/opinion? (Well, and anyone else who has any thoughts really!)

Just borrowed a Silver Cross Pop for a week's trial run from a friend who is selling. It's meant to replace my Quest which I find a bit too low. Trouble is I'm finding the Pop really quite heavy to push in comparison, the wheels seem almost stiff, plus the steering is a bit off and seems to pull to the left.

Nicola and Carrielou, I know you've both had/have Pop - what do you think? Is that just the way it is or do maybe the wheels/bearings need a bit of maintenance or something? It's probably a 2007 model poss earlier but def not later.

Thanks so much!

MrsMagooo · 13/01/2009 20:44

Nicola they probably ended it & sent an invoice for much more

I'd say £135 is way to little for everything, I'd put the footmuff on BIN of £45/50, Candy Stripe CP on BIN £15/20 maybe?? & XT with black comfort pack for £115?????

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2009 20:51

what are the colour of the fabrics april on the pop (that way i know what year it was) if its 2007 steer clear so to speak!!! They had problems with wheels and steering so i wouldn't buy tbh. the 2008 were much improved but i still didn't like mine. you should buy my nice xt instead.

footmuffs are £55 bn mrs m. do you think i'd get £45 for used one? worth a go maybe??

sal1309 · 13/01/2009 20:51

swwetapril i had a pop and it was quite heavy to push compared to my quest/xt it didnt pull to one side or seem stiff though.
I personally wouldnt have another one it could be that the wheels need a good clean ect but wouldnt be 100% sure

carrielou2007 · 13/01/2009 20:52

Well if dd does get it, she tends to come into bed with me about 3am when it gets really cold (bad I know buy hey, rod for my own back and everything) so I will get it too!!

Sweetapril, sounds a bit odd, is defo heavier than the quest but big wheels keep it running smooth iykwim? Dd is a bit of a lump (weighs nearly 2 stone but it about height of a 3 year old) and was easy to pushs in the pop? Pop same weight as dazzle but still find dazzle easier to push??

mamadiva · 13/01/2009 20:52

Good god just checked that link wish I couldv'e got footmuff for that LOL. Cheapest I am seeing is £20 BIN, probably not even there anymore!

DisenchantedPlusBump · 13/01/2009 20:53

I hated my pop. It seemed really stiff and ridgid, it didn't flow when pushed. Mine was BN so not old and rusty or anything.

Wouldn't have another.

mamadiva · 13/01/2009 20:54

Did you buy the Beat buggy from 3girlies disenchanted?

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2009 20:55

the 2007 had known problems with wheels and steering. supposed to fixed in the 2008 models.

techno · 13/01/2009 20:56

bargain buzz

lillypie · 13/01/2009 20:59

I really like my pop it feels heavier to push than my MB but everything does.

But that said I had no problem pushing my great lump of a DD up a bloomin great hill this afternoon

SweetApril · 13/01/2009 21:00

Thanks, ladies.

Nicola, the fabrics are all black.
Carrielou, my dd is a bit of a lump too! Also weighs 2 stone and tall so I guess I can't blame her if you didn't have a prob with it!!! Maybe I'm a bit weedy.
Bit gutted really cos lots of things about it are much better, especially the leg rest and the brake both of which I think are rubbish on the Quest.

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2009 21:02

hello fara!! glad you found us the bargain buzz has ended

sounds like a jet one i think they are fairly new? i preferred my mac to the pop which is why i got rid.
