Baby shoes - what and when?

DD is 10 months and has (i think) quite large feet. She can do a few tottery steps and is working hard at doing more (v. stubborn like her father!) I think she'll be walking properly soon. Does she need shoes? How does one go about getting them? At the moment she wears very soft leather shoes from jojomamanbebe. Thank you!

Thanks for your replies - I didn't realise this was such a controversial topic! Having looked at the price of the shoes I think we'll wait and save up for the startrite ones, they look nice and traditional! I think I'll just get some little wellies for outside and I found some 'pre-walkers' from tesco (£1.50!) but she'll only wear those at playgroup.
