Help us decide - pushchair decision nightmare

We are due in Feb and have started to look at pram/pushchair options. Every time we think we have got it right, we find a bad review or someone comes up to us in the shop and tells us not to buy the one we're looking at due to their bad experience. We aren't looking top budget and space in the car boot and in our house is at a premium. We'd love to be able to see the baby (parent-facing) at least for the first few months, but there seem to be few of these about. Thinking we should go for a v v cheap buggy-style that goes flat and can be replaced easily if it's crap.

Please help us wiht any thoughts/experience/etc.

Go on ebay, browse pushchairs, tick nearest first and see if anything suitable comes up. I think Chicco do some newish stuff that may be suitable too but not had one to comment.

Anyone seen the new petite star zia 4? It folds up small and can take a car seat and little carrycot thing that makes it rear facing.

here

I would definitely have considered this if I'd seen it before buying my Baby Jogger City Single.

Other than that, we had a Maclaren Techno XT that lasted 6 yrs through boys. I loved it but don't like the new greyish colours.

only downside of the petite star is that the upright isn't very upright IYSWIM, something you don't think about until they are much older!

Def a contender and toryrus sell them if you want to go & look.

I've heard that maclaren are bringing out a black techno very soon but also that they are putting all their prices up in fairnesses they haven't for a few years.

That should have said through 2 boys. They are now 6 and 4 and I still have the Techno.
