Actually, RTKM my new 7-seater Volvo V70 2.5 with 170bhp is very fine indeed. My first solo drive was a bit of a baptism of fire, as I had to spend the morning reversing in and out of tight corners in various branches of Travis Perkins, and load huge sheets of ply into the back. But the car behaved beautifully, and I love it very much indeed. In fact when we needed an outing today to get away from the builders, did I suggest the local park? Did I hell. A drive down the M40 to Oxford and lunch by the river were on the cards. My life may never be the same again.
