Has anyone anywhere used the travel bag for the Stokke Xplory buggy?

Hi. Newbie here. I really want to take my Xplory on holiday to Greece because 18-month-old DC is loads more comfy in it than the cheapo umbrella buggy (and will sleep in it!). But I've heard that the airline/travel bag that's supposed to protect it isn't actually very robust at all. Anyone used one? I've had no joy finding a 2nd hand one and don't really want to spend £70 on a new one if they are rubbish. Thanks!

A year on and I'm having the same problem! Reviews seems to state bag has no padding so offers no protection from being thrown on and off the plane but it does stop it coming off filthy. I'm reluctant to spend £70+ but I can't afford to replace my Stokke Xplory! Any advice welcome- thanks!

Sorry, I never had the need for the bag. Have you tried Ebay?

EllaBella - I'm very excited to have a thread revived! At the time I happened to speak to someone at the Stokke repair place when they were fixing something on my Xplory and he said they got a lot returned for repair which had been damaged by baggage handlers (regardless of whether they'd been in the travel bag). I think the clips that attach the seat to the wheels were the bit that was most often damaged. He felt that the bag didn't offer any real protection against rough handling. On the basis of that I decided to take an umbrella buggy and it worked out fine!

We have one and packed it full of clothes for padding. Agree it's not exactly the best bag

Thanks for responses as a newbie to the site am now encouraged this works! Really don't want my Xplory trashed and from sounds of it the bag's not worth the money (how can they be so fab at some aspects of design and so totally lacking in others??! Don't get me started on UV protection!).
