Anyone used a Tangle Tamer?

I heard the chap who got rejected by Dragon's Den had now had his product picked up by Boots.

The DD's both get terrible tugs in their hair.

Anyone used this brush and is it worth the money?

I don't know Aitch, the blooming thing leaps out of my hand like it's possessed.
Maybe I should call in a priest

i want to pitch the wide-toothed comb to some hungry lions.

even with conditioner, it doesn't break up the two huge tugs the girls form in their hair, in almost identical spots on their heads.

do you know, you are NOT the only person to ask me that recently. i conclude therefore that it is.

Habbibu · 20/08/2008 22:46

it said quota full. Suggests that you are too popular by half.

Aitch · 20/08/2008 22:48

will look into it, ta.

Habbibu · 20/08/2008 23:07

have pm'd you on the blog, Aitch.

Aitch · 20/08/2008 23:45

gotcha!

suedonim · 21/08/2008 00:28

I just bought two of those for the dds - thanks Expat! It's a shame dd2 had about 6inches off her waist-length hair this morning. But tbh, it wasn't in good condition and looks a lot nicer now so it had to be done.

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 21/08/2008 14:46

okay so those of you that have already ordered them how long do they take to arrive?

have just ordered dd's after going to local hairdresser supply shop and boots and they had none. she now wants to if the postman will come when it stops raining? she is very impatiant and wants to know when her 'magic' brush is coming. the website says upto 5 days do they usually take that long? or lonnger?

is it worth getting one for my super curly hair? it doesn't get too tangly as i wash/condition it every morning & use a wide tooth comb - but am always open to more products....

suedonim · 21/08/2008 20:05

Ruby, it says on the website it works on Afro hair.

I hope the brushes do come in five days as I shall be leaving the country shortly and I want them before I go.

expatinscotland · 21/08/2008 20:06

i didn't tell DD1 i ordered it.

order's been processed so hopefully we'll have it soon.

I have one as I have extensions and I thing its a brill idea. I have also started to use it on dd and must admit while it doesn't comb through as easily as they state it DOES make it easier iykiwm...

dd wakes up with hair like Russell Brand {blush] so there are usually tears BUT this brush makes it bearable.

btw, I used to use a leave in conditioner at each brush session..I don't need to do that now with this brush.

expatinscotland · 23/08/2008 14:36

it's here! it works a treat.

the girls love it.

thought you would . Ideal to leave in the shower as well to comb through conditioner.

suedonim · 23/08/2008 21:39

Ours came today, the girls fell on them with glee and, having shown them off to all and sundry, I'm now receiving requests to arrange for Santa to bring these brushes to the tangly-headed. Not sure it's what I'd want for Xmas but then my hair isn't tangly.
