Pillows

Talk to me about pillows. My current (cheap Ikea) ones really aren't cutting it and I'm fed up of waking up with back/neck ache. What pillows does everyone recommend, especially if you usually sleep on your side? Don't mind getting the more expensive ones if they're actually worth it, but are they really that much better?

I spend ages trying every cheap pillow I could find and nothing was working, so I asked for an Aeyla pillow as a birthday present (the Dual one). It is soooo good. I really miss it when I'm sleeping anywhere else although I'm not yet ready to travel with my own pillow. I think they do a money-back guarantee thing as it's online only. I was sceptical to be honest but got a bit desperate and it kept showing up in best pillow lists. I'm a side sleeper.

I've just bought Slumberdown Feels like Down pillows for the spare bedroom. £25ish for four on eBay. They are designed for side-sleepers. The quality looks and feels good. I've got an ancient White Company down one (sale buy, cleaned twice so far) with a microfibre one underneath on my bed. I prefer down as I get a hot head! But yes, I think you get what you pay for in terms of amount and quality of fill and the case being resistant to the filling escaping. I've had very cheap pillows and they get thin and lumpy quite quickly.

I second this!... they're not cheap, but they do offer a 30 day return. I suffer from Pillow Ear, where the cartlidge in my ear becomes painful when sleeping - no pain with this pillow!
The 2nd pillow i bought will definitely be coming on holiday with me.

I like Woolroom pillows and you can add or remove filling as you like. They do need fluffing though.

I was given a tempur one. Wasn’t sure at first but it’s incredible. Do appreciate they are £££ though and I wouldn’t have it if it hadn’t been free. Dunelm mill have a huge range of pillows with a big range of price points which might worth looking at.

Oh, so do I! I never thought of it as something with a name. But no more pillow ear here.
