Where can I find flattering wide leg jeans for petites?

I’ve lost a lot of weight and looking for jeans that fit the following;
*suitable for 5’ tall
*size 12 or 14
*wide leg - but not too wide as look silly on me as I’m short!
*mid or dark blue
*preferably high waisted

I still have a bit of a squishy tummy but hardly any bum.
I brought some lovely ones from TU but size 12 are about an inch too small and 14 too big

I’ve recently come to the decision I can only buy jeans / trousers from M&S now as they do an extra short length which fit me perfectly whereas normal petite ranges are always too long

I have to do the same which is annoying but I can’t be arsed getting every pair of jeans altered.

I got some in River Island. They are called relaxed straight but they are definitely wide! Not too wide though. They are really comfy.
I love the Halara ones too which are the perfect petite length but they are shite quality and are snagged to bits already.
Very hard shopping for petites!

I was debating the Halara ones but unsure of the fabric - I won’t order now!

"Ankle grazers" usually work for me, since they're more like floor grazers when you're 5ft 3in.

Anthropologie's "cropped" jeans, the Maeve Colette (which I love), come up at about the right normal length

Get yourself to a Levi store. I used to buy cheap jeans all the time but then splurged on some Levi’s and it’s true you get what you pay for!

Halara. So comfy and do a petite size.
Try vinted for them.

I never found any wide that didn't look like a joke, even when I was size 8 with a pre baby stomach. Skinny or straight or flared/bootcut are all that works for me-and my hips are too big for anyone to make Gru comments.
But some friends like M&S, so if you want to see if they suit you, you could try those.

In case helpful I tried to buy what you want and failed. People suggested New Look - their jeans fitted fine but didn't look good. I was the same size as you. I'm now a bit slimmer after losing some weight (size 10) but still pear shaped and short! I recently tried on some barrel leg jeans which were surprisingly flattering (I assumed they would look absolutely horrendous on me) - perhaps try that type if you are struggling to find some wide leg ones. The barrel leg ones seem to provide a bit more shape and made me look less blocky than the wide leg ones. I didn't buy any jeans in the end but the ones I tried were from Jigsaw.

Yes but they huge and look clown like on petite smaller frames. They almost have a triangle shape that’s how huge the legs are.
and the short is shorter than a petite size so looks ridiculous length and width

I bought a pair of Roman ones, not a brand I would ever have considered but they’re nice. A smidgen too long but I’m 4 10!

I don’t really like the M&S fit, I don’t know why.

Abercrombie have lots of leg lengths and curve fit, in most styles. They look great on. Look out for the discount days and some of the influencers on Instagram share codes that get you an extra 15% off.
