Recommendations for noise-cancelling headphones for shopping, reading and home working

Hi,
I’m in the market for some noise cancelling or noise minimising headphones. I’ve seen the loop ones around a lot and they’ve recently brought out a collab with Paris Hilton that are bright pink and I love the look of them! However - I don’t want to buy them just because they’re pink, that would be ridiculous.
I’m not looking for total silencing ones or anything just a pair I can put on while I do things like the big shop, read my book, and maybe sometimes for while I’m doing lesson planning (which I do from home, so it just needs to kind of drown out background noise as my office room is on the top floor so it’s already relatively quiet).
I am willing to shell out some cash, and if I find a good and appropriate pair I will probably also get some for my son who has ASD and struggles similarly with background noise. He’s never used them before though so I figured if I get some he can try them out and we can go from there.
I don’t mind inner ear or overhead, just mainly care they work. Pink if possible but obviously colour is the least important thing about them.
