What is your favourite place for clothes shopping?

Just wondering what your favourite place is for clothes shopping in terms of quality and style?

I like White Stuff but do find their clothes pricy and M&S is just godawful for clothes IMHO although good for food.

For a start, anywhere that has dresses & trousers at sensible lengths.

At 4ft11, a sensible length is something that, at most, doesn’t go beyond my ankles.

Good question! I don't really feel there is anywhere that I would call a favourite.
If I'm in a shopping mall, I would look at M&S, or John Lewis for the concessions. I sometimes find things in Next, like my favourite cotton jersey wide leg jeggings, but a lot of the fabrics are nasty.
If I'm in a town with independent shops, I would look at indie boutiques. Locally, I look at White Stuff simply because there isn't much other choice. There is a Whistles ( fabrics too synthetic so I never go there) and a J Crew ( they don't cater for size 18 so I don't go there). Oliver Bonas is also too synthetic for me, but I do like their accessories.
Mostly I shop online these days. Recently I have bought dresses from Sahara and Gudrun Sjoden but they need to be in the sales as both are quite expensive.
I would be happy to consider clothes from most places, just not ones made from recycled plastic bottles. Or any kind of polyester.

Primark,Matalan, charity shops and Vinted.

I have gone off most chains due to too much polyester.
I used to like Hush but struggled to find anything that would suit me this year.
I have been a customer at a local indie boutique for around 30 years and that is where I go. Great advice and lovely experience. Expensive so I only buy a few items a year and focus on cost per wear.
I have also discovered Busby&Fox online and hope they will open a store nearer to me.

By place do you mean physical shops, or websites, or specific brands?

i shop all over the place as style and fit are important. Basics like undies are from M&S, Jeans/jeggings and plain t-shirts from Uniqlo, patterned t-shirts from Mint Velvet.

There is an independent boutique i go to which has some european brands that aren’t common in the UK and i love to shop there.

For pricier items, i’ll wait for sales or offers.

Gudrun Sjoden, although you have to choose carefully - too much is too much.
Otherwise, it's a bit random. I hate shops, so I purchase on the Internet (recently successful with trousers from Tom's Trunks), or occasionally I see something I like in a shop window on holiday in Europe!
I agree with so many that quality is poor these days,so I would never go to Next or similar high street stores.
But I am a creature of my 1970s childhood re underwear, so that's always from M&S - I'm sure there are better places, but it's a habit I can't break.
