Where can I buy nice gender neutral baby clothes?

Everything I find is brown! Or boy-ish. We are expecting our 2nd baby in April and have decided to keep the gender a surprise, but I can’t find any nice gender neutral baby clothes!

bonus if the sleep suits have zips

Have you looked at The White Company . . . their clothes are lovely (but pricey!) and they sell sleep suits with zips

Best wishes for your new baby

If you've got lots of money, it tends to be the expensive brands that have the more neutral colours. Mori have some nice ones. The Scandi brands are often brighter colours with gender neutral options.
On more of a budget, I think the best is George at Asda. They do a 10 pack of zipped sleepsuits in fairly neutral colours.

Asda have loads of cream or yellow clothes.
(I'm too old for a baby now but they are the first thing you see by the shop entrance and every time I"m all "awwww.... so cute" 😂)

I liked gender neutral and bright colours for my babies and I bought a lot from Next and Lindex.

It's much harder now they're older and it feels like everything is either brown sweatpants or pink tulle princess dress.

When my DS was born (nearly 14 years ago!), we got some lovely aleepsuitd from m & s - colourful spots or stripes on them. We wanted to be pretty gender neutral, and glad as wasctold we were expecting a girl and had a boy! Just looked at hbe sleepsuits on the website now, and still have done choices that are neutral. We aalso bought from mother care, next, asda and h & m. And nct sales were good for things like sleep bags for night time. Not sure if they are still a thing, but might be worth looking on vinted.

Maxmorra, Dunns and similar are great and have some lovely gender neutral patterns

Or frugi are good- just a bit more spendy

Vinted is good for white company/frugi/boden at more budget prices. I enjoyed little bird, toby tiger, blade and rose, kite, little green radicals. Got loads second hand on ebay (before vinted was around). Always coveted some maxomora but never found any on the resale sites and wouldn't stretch to buying new! I think TU has a unisex search option.

Also found it helpful to switch off my brain from assigning colours to genders. One of my fave babysuits with my children (one of each) was bright blue with clouds on that probably would have been assigned to the boys section (looked a bit like this one www.therainbowunisaur.com/products/copy-of-multi-dino-sleepsuit?srsltid=AfmBOopKhue0f031x-JluVMerF4cvUCU3YrU7_FlwP8VetuDYt8efPix), and my sons wardrobe is now primarily pink as thats his fave colour.

I bought loads of stuff in yellow, green, blue. Dinosaur patterns, hearts, spots, animals. All gender neutral as far as I'm concerned. Next and Sainsbury's were always good.

Allsigns · 20/01/2026 16:53

Oh and bonds wondersuits!

Paaseitjes · 20/01/2026 17:09

If you can find them on vinted, Hema are the best. We have VW camper vans, crabs, rocking horses and crocodiles from there. Frugi are good too. I hate that UK brands mostly only do gender neutral in boring colours. Not many places do proper children's crayola colours anymore.

I don’t know if you are still looking but I’ve bought a few things from https://www.thetinybabyboutique.com. They have some lovely clothing, mainly organic too. There’s a much nicer choice than in the shops at the moment .
