Bra help - big cup, smallish band - the only bra that fits has been discontinued

Hello lovely helpful ladies. I need help. I have been wearing Bravissimo's Satine bra for 12 years now, and it is the only bra that I've found that comes close to fitting me. Prior to having kids, I wore Deco bras but after having kids I got gapping along the top.
I'm a 32FF or 30G (ish. I've put on some weight so it might be time to go up to a 32G). I've got very close set boobs so I have to have a plunge style, or else the wires dig in in the centre, at the sides of the gore. They're fairly low on my chest even without the sagging that has come with age and I'm tall, so I need decently long straps. I can't wear anything racerback or with the straps set so they go over my traps or I get a headache and neck ache.
I don't feel like this should be impossible but somehow I've never found anything to better Satine and now that they're not making them I'm dreading having to replace my bras, which tbh really needs to be soon.
Very grateful for any help you can offer!

If you are near a Bravissimo, go in and ask for advice - they sell other brands as well.
If not, have a look at other decent brands - Freya, Fantasie, Curvy Kate, Boux Avenue, Pour Moi etc.
Many of these can be ordered via the M&S website so you can click and collect and return any unwanted ones easily.

I just looked on their website and it's still available?
Could you stock up?

FruitWordSalad · 06/01/2026 09:44

Yes, have you asked them which bras have a similar fit? Worth a try. I found 'normal' bras dig in in the middle too, but I'm ok with the Bravissimo Millie which is a balconette. Have you tried that one?

RedAndGreenShouldAlwaysBeSeen · 06/01/2026 10:06

I have similar issues and also prefer plunge and need the cups right together/ low gore (although I do like racer backs). My favourite bras are all Bravissimo own brand but they never actually have much in stock that suits . Do most people actually have space between their breasts?? I guess they must!

I've had amazing luck on vinted buying up older styles. I find bravissimo own brand sizing fairly reliable.

Bravissimo Niya is supposed to be v similar to Satine. I prefer non padded and really like one I bought ages ago called something like Amara? They currently do one called Sara which is comfortable and slightly minimising.

Last time I was in the store I also tried on some panache bras which would fit the bill but the sizing was completely different - much tighter bands and smaller cups and I didn't have time to keep getting different sizes brought in.

BuildbyNumbere · 06/01/2026 17:17

You should go and try some on.
Next do a lot of different brands and you can filter by size.

beezlebubnicky · 06/01/2026 17:19

Have you tried the 'A bra that fits' calculator just to double check your size? It uses standing, leaning and lying flat measurements to get the overall band and cup size.

Starbright12 · 06/01/2026 17:20

Not helpful I know but I could have written this post apart from I had no idea they were discontinuing it 😭

Greybutdontwanttodye · 06/01/2026 17:21

On a trip to London I went to Rigby and Peller as a bit of an extravagance and was blown away with how good they were at fitting and finding the right bra (and no hard sell). I did buy a couple - am a 32G….i went in thinking I was as 34DD 😳

Toddlerteaplease · 06/01/2026 17:24

I always had Freya deco. But they’ve stopped making them. The tailored one is the nearest equivalent. I tried a Gossard Superboost and that looked great, although rubbed a bit under my arms.

PeopleTheyAintNoGood · 06/01/2026 17:24

It's still for sale on their website in your size. They also recommend Ultimate Comfort bra as an alternative.

Squirrelsnut · 06/01/2026 17:28

I just got a bra from Snag and it's great. I'm a 34FF of thereabouts. They only have 2 bra styles, mine's the slightly more expensive one.

JKGalbraithsTable · 06/01/2026 17:28

Hang on, Satine is being discontinued??

Wedonotcare · 06/01/2026 17:31

I could have written this post myself! I have been wearing Satine for years in a 30FF or G & it’s perfect for me. There are some left online but only in the champagne colour. I tried the ultimate comfort this week which was recommended as a replacement/upgrade but it didn’t fit me well at all. I ended up buying the bravissimo Nellie bra & the Millie which both fitted ok but not as good as Satine.

They’re selling them as normal on the Freya website, and in loads of other places - these ones?

The Bravissimo Niya is quite similar to the Satine. I used to wear both pre-pregnancy/breastfeeding and got a good fit in both.

youwillneverknow · 06/01/2026 18:57

36J here and in the same boat, the wire in my grey Satine snapped the other day and I went to order another, only to find they just had the nude colour left! I ordered one more nude one anyway. I always struggle to find a bra that holds them up, doesn’t make them look pointy or look like something my gran would wear. I can’t stand lace ones either as they make me itch. Following this thread with interest.

CandyColouredEggshells · 06/01/2026 19:23

Uplifted lingerie do loads, they stock some of the same brands as M&S (Freya off the top of my head) but so more sales.

Sassylovesbooks · 06/01/2026 19:34

Trying looking on Brastop or Braforme - they both stock Fantasie, Pour Moi, Curvy Kate, Freya etc. I am a 32FF but prefer a balcony style bra. I have starting wearing Flirtelle brand, which I bought from Brastop, and they are so comfortable.

mimiasovitch · 06/01/2026 20:04

32gg here, with very close set boobs. I always loved the satine and for a long time was the only bra in my drawer, but I’ve moved onto the Millie and adore it (especially the luxe version), and tend to keep the Satines for t shirts now

FinallyHere · 06/01/2026 20:25

Another vote for a fitting at

Rigby and Peller

Applecup · 06/01/2026 20:26

I’m a similar size and shape to you and find fantasie or Freya work for me.

It’s not just the brand, band width and cup size, it’s about adjusting the straps until it fits you perfectly. I’ve only ever experienced that capability at R&P

Doggymummar · 06/01/2026 20:28

I wear the Satine too, 32 H or 30 g as far as I know they are not discontinued i bought two today at full price. Also two curvy Kate 30 g ones as well

LittlePinkDinosaur · 06/01/2026 21:58

I've created my username so I can make my first post on this thread. I am literally in the same boat. Just moved up from a 28G to 30G (blame peri weight gain for that) and have lived in the satine fir a similar amount if time. Ive tried so many others and nothing fits as well. (The Niya just flattened me, deco was too moulded...). Bravissimo recommended the ultimate comfort plunge as an alternative but I've not yet tried it. I also looked at the Nellie last time I was in store so I might try that and the millie too.
I'd also suggest the booborbust facebook page and website as there are others suffering the same stress - maybe we need to set up a campaign group or petition to get it back. I thought it was one of their popular ones!

ThisZanyPinkSquid · 06/01/2026 21:59

Go into Bravissmo. I always wore the ‘Jenna’ bras and couldn’t find them online and they just changed the name to ‘Alicia’ so worth going in to be measured and they can advise on shape and cup for you too.
