What kind of top should I wear with these trousers?

I bought these trousers because they are sooo comfortable and I loved the colour, but I've no idea what to wear with them! I'm only 5ft 2in so they're not really that cropped on me, more normal length. I'm size 18 and wearing trousers this wide is a step outside my comfort zone. Any advice on colour and style of top to wear with them would be much appreciated!

Oooh now, i’m loving cropped wide leg things at the moment.

The scoop neck T she has on is good. Or a shirt/blouse with a few buttons undone to give a bit of length. Or a V neck to give the same effect.

I think those trousers suggest a casual look so t-shirt tops, cami and cardi, funky light knitwear....I'm talking nonsense but do you know what I mean?

I have those trousers in a green cord. And I’m 5ft 1. I wear a blouse like this and do a french tuck.

This top would pull out the dark green nicely.

These dark teal wide-leg cords look great with simple, slightly fitted tops. Try:

• White or cream fitted tee (clean + lengthening)
• Black long-sleeve top
• Striped Breton tee (navy/white)
• Soft blush or beige blouse
• Denim shirt with a front tuck

Keep the top hip-length or slightly tucked to balance the wide leg and flatter your 5'2" frame.
