I* have a separate AEG fridge SANTO and freezer ARCTIS. But each is mahooooooosive enough for our large family and brilliant - frost free, quiet, easy to clean, good internal storage in both.

Bought em both graded from ebay for about 200 quid less each than shop price!

chipo · 07/06/2008 21:15

I have a bosch half and half, chose one with 4 drawer freezer which is much need. Had it for 4 years and no problems with it.

Hassled · 07/06/2008 21:23

Our expensive Samsung American style fridge freezer died shortly after the warranty expired. Fridge repair men sucked in their teeth and tutted when I said the word Samsung. Don't go there.

Am sat in on a Sat night flicking through Good Housekeeping [sob! where did my youth go?]

Anyway they have the top 3 of their choices.
They are: Samsung RSJ1FERS (American Style)
Fisher & Paykel E533BRXU (Best wide Euro-style) and
Electorlux Brit ENB40405W (Best standard width).

Gosh, I am interesting!

JackieNo · 07/06/2008 21:34

We have a Samsung side by side american style one, and love it.

spudcounter · 08/06/2008 07:24

Cheers for this lot,
How much width space does a samsung side by side take up?

and do they all protrude beyond yr surfaces??

I also have a Samsung side by side and love it - well did love it until we moved house and it won't fit in our kitchen (or anywhere in the house)...

So is now currently sat dismantled in our garage..

Not sure how wide but it did stick out a little from the units but it did look ok (think it is still on my profile from our ould house)..

Ours is similar to this one, though obviously a previous model. We love the 'home bar' compartment on the right hand side, which enables us to get milk, or wine, or whatever, out without opening up the whole door and warming the whole thing up. Dimensions are on there - we have extra deep worktops on that side (just because of the way one of our walls is built), so it is just level with them. Dimensions are on that link, though you may need a bit of room behind it, which is why it says 'full details of dimensions in the handbook' or whatever.
