I've lived in jeans and jumpers since my son was born 6 years ago and it's time to dust off my wardrobe and have a refresh. I would love one go to outfit for going for dinner and going for cocktails and dancing etc. please tell me if this is too formal: https://www.nobodyschild.com/products/hertiage-check-mini-skirt-b254983brn?cjdata=MXxZfDB8WXww&variant=54668557386113&cjevent=41150bb8b4c611f0832500f10a18ba74&utm_source=CJ&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=Lyst+Ltd

Hey, check out this product https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/322349648/?icid=ghsandapp_ghs_pdp_share
This looks a million dollars on. My neighbour wore this to a recent party.

Looks more like work wear to me....

I'd go for something from their date night range...https://www.nobodyschild.com/products/black-velvet-bow-detail-mini-dress-d254990blk?queryID=1a93ca7c0400c5fd650292217f163cb9

Why is the model wearing shoes two sizes too big for her?

Uh this is what my DD would wear to classes at her uni. How in the world would it be too formal for cocktails? Too informal - it’s daywear.

It's a very classy and flattering look, people that know, know. But I'd ditch those awful boots.

Yes absolutely! I'd pair it with some quite tame suede ankle boots..

This is super cute! I'd have to go for something more "safe" though... I'd feel a bit dressed up I think.

I think you need something with sparkles for cocktails and dancing! Plus you’ll get far too hot in a jumper.

This post has been so interesting as it has really shown me how people have different standards of what they deem going to wear. I love rurally and literally live in jeans and Patagonia jackets doing the school run, so this outfit I've listed would be the most dressed up I've been for years🤣I've ordered it anyways ( minus the boots)

The skirt is cute! Perfect for going shopping with friends and having a few cocktails afterwards (although I’d wear a different top. I’d get so hot wearing a turtle neck when going out dancing), Sunday afternoon pub lunch etc.

But the skirt is definitely too short for the vast majority of offices or comparable work environments!
