Anyone with a micralite toro - a few questions

We're going to be buying a Micralite Toro (ordering this weekend) but just wanted to check on a couple of things - DH is concerned the basket is a bit low to the ground and that things will get dirty/wet if it rains - has this been a problem? Also how sturdy is it - can you put anything on the handlebars or will it tip over?

I have the Fastfold and will admit the basket on that is not easy to get to! With any buggy, avoid going through bug puddles or the stuff in the basket will get wet. I've got a couple of shopping bays on it and it's been fine (anymore and you do feel it tipping back but it's not difficult to push), but like most buggys, take the shopping off before taking out the child!
