'Mini' cars as in the make or as in small?

Will 'Cars' the movie themed stuff do the trick?

Miaou · 03/06/2008 17:52

you could get fabric from here perhaps?

Miaou · 03/06/2008 17:56

would this do for the cake tin?

Miaou · 03/06/2008 18:11

Where's she gone?

Tuh.

NotABanana · 03/06/2008 18:35

Sorry, went to put the kids to bed.

Mini as the make

He likes Beetles too if mini's are not available.

hmm, the cake tin might do but having trouble with the rest.

Miaou · 03/06/2008 18:46

party games?

can only find roary racing car stuff atm

SaintGeorge · 03/06/2008 18:50

The only Mini tableware I can find are some coasters and placemats, but collectors stuff so £20 for 4!

NotABanana · 03/06/2008 18:51

Might be wasted on a 3 year old, but thanks.

blimey, I think you've hit on a black hole, commercially speaking! can't find anything for either!

NotABanana · 03/06/2008 19:32

It would have to be minis he loves!!

When you say beetle, do you mean the old ones or the new beetle

Strangely enough, the website offers the cake tins to rent, for 10days. To send outwith Switzerland they charge 7euros plus p&p. (you would have to get in touch to see if they send to UK.

Any good?

NotABanana · 03/06/2008 19:58

I think either would do but he has only seen the new version mostly.

I'm stumped NAB !

Have you got an arty friend who could draw minis for you? Or can you print out a load on a colour printer, then stick them to a plain tablecloth? Not sure how you could do plates, napkins, cups etc.

At 3, could you get away with using the cake tin I linked to (which, incidentally, is far cheaper via ebay ) and just tell him it's a mini?

Miaou · 03/06/2008 21:36

look!!

Miaou · 03/06/2008 21:37

and a yellow one! (if it works)

Miaou · 03/06/2008 21:38

sorry - yellow one - this should be it

Miaou · 03/06/2008 21:40

And just for good measure: a beetle!

Kindersurprise · 03/06/2008 21:45

You could always ask at your local Mini dealer if they have any posters or merchandising stuff that they do not need any more.

NotABanana · 04/06/2008 07:41

Thanks everyone.

He would know it isn't a mini but if it looks like a Beetle that would do as he likes them too.

I really need to get a move on as it is his birthday in 9 days.

Scared of ebay though.

I did think about contacting a mini dealer but wouldn't know where to start.

can you make up a car by making a rectangle and cutting wheels out of sponge etc and them cover with icing ( ready rolled) then add the features of the mini with icing.

dh does it like this

ready made icing is a god send
