Today my quest for the perfect work trousers has ended

So I've been searching for straight full length work trousers to no avail for the last few months, all seems to be wide leg, cropped, 7/8 etc etc, well I've found the perfect trousers, lovely material, fit like a dream, comfy and smart. Guess where from? Damart! Added bonus cost me just over £20!

If I get offered an interview for a job I am applying for (as we speak actually!) then I was thinking about getting a smart pair of trousers (I currently work in the community and live in jeans!), a nice plain silk top and a funky blazer, so this is excellent timing and very handy for the old bank balance too - thank you! 💙

Too casual for my corporate office unfortunately, but glad you found them OP. I’m still looking for my perfect work trousers, always see lovely styles but always not quite the right length.

Only problem with Damart is they bombard you with catalogues through the post til kingdom come! I tick any box that says no marketing, but it doesn't work so don't order from them any more.

Cotton Traders and Lands End are often good for this sort of thing.

These look great but wouldn’t say they are smart work trousers unless where you work is very casual. The description even says they are jeans..

If you are near a Boyes, they do a range of stretch bengaline trousers that are great for smart casual work places.

Not my style but I salute any woman who has found her perfect trouser!

Ooh I may need to try these... I was considering asking for recommendations because when I WFH (3 or 4 days a week) I wear a nice-ish jumper and really manky tracksuit bottoms, but now my daughter's started school and I feel slightly embarassed of the shabby tracksuit bottoms...
