What would you wear with this skirt?

I'm going through a bit of a hate everything in my wardrobe phase. Did anyone have this style crisis as they approached 40 or is it just me? 😂 Was about to chuck this skirt on Vinted but it's so lovely on. Excuse the rubbish photo. The problem is it can feel a bit frumpy due to its length so I'd love to see examples of tops you'd pair it with? For reference I'm late 30s, size 8 on top, small waist and 10 on bottom. I'd love to find a way for it to feel retro but cool - not like a frumpy wedding guest! Thanks! I'll post the skirt below:

The skirt

My first thought is a very dark navy blouse. Tucked in. Audrey Hepburn vibe.
Or a red knit, worn outside, but short - neat. The skirt looks full.

I agree, it is lovely, you could do something with it.

Not quite the right yellow, I think it needs to be more vivid.

I also thought waist-emphasising Audrey Hepburn, but a bright colour.

Maybe a short boxy t shirt and trainers or sandals ?
