Winter's Coat - what's in fashion for 2025/26

My superdry puffy coat got ripped at the end of last winter, so it's time to a get new one... I'm always so behind the trend, so before I rush out to buy a long puffy one, I thought I'd ask Mumsnetters for ideas! I think my budget is approx £200, but cheaper would be better. Just a cosy coat for every day use over winter. Thank you😆

this may be better in style and beauty OP? But o think I’m going for a sort of quilted bomber js jet type thing for everyday and a longer line barn jacket type thing for smarter

Yeah I seen some really nice bomber jackets... will need to shift my fat backside though. That's the good thing about the long coats - very forgiving. 😂

i dunno-I’ve always found that they accentuate the ring of fat around my middle somehow 🫣 so I look like a lumpy duvet!
