Recommendations please... Where do you buy swimwear as a larger busted woman?

I am a size 16/18 but my bust %is much larger in proportion to the rest of my body. (Think 40L bra size) I'm looking for recommendations of where similar proportioned women buy swimwear from. I've tried some of the plus size offerings (bloomchic etc) and the seem to be too big for my body but nowhere near big enough for my bust. I usually shop online at Bravissimo but they've recently had a warehouse fire and are unable to take orders online andtheir nearest shop is too far to go on the offchance they'll have something in my size. So where else do you recommend?

I bought a Fantastie one at John Lewis and it’s the most flattering swimsuit I’ve ever had! I got a 38F and I’m about a size 16.

Bravissimo

Have you tried Pour Moi? Cup sized swimwear, generally with good stomach-holding-in properties also. I have their Santa Monica swimsuit and it’s very nice and sturdy, even without the straps. My boobs are a 34g so not quite in line with your magnificence but still in need of girders in the boulder-holder. I jumped up and down and it stayed in place.

Thanks for the recommendation I have taken a look and unfortunately they just don't go up to my size largest swimwear they do is a 40G.

I wear a bikini top under a rash top and board shorts.

I found it cheaper to wear a bra underneath a costume. I’ve used a sports bra type as I swim lengths but needed more support.

Call them up and ask what they have in stock? It’s what the woman behind me on the bus did (along with a LOT of other mundane stuff)?

OudAndRose · 23/07/2025 20:38

I would call the bravissimo store to see what they have in stock before you travel. They should also be able to tell you which stores do have what you are looking for, or order in from another store if you call ahead. Their customer service is usually pretty good.

I have some from next in a 40G that are really lovely. The cup sizes are quite generous too. They went up to a j cup I believe

MrsMoastyToasty · 23/07/2025 20:43

I go to Bravissimo or my local independent lingerie/swimwear shop and buy tankini tops, but buy plain bottom half's from places like Sports Direct or Matalan.

Elomi go to a JJ cup size.
