Just ordered one of these - reduced from £129.99 to £32.50 and with free delivery!

Been after one of these steam generators for ages but the cheapest I could ever find was about £80!

Mine arrived and I love it

My mum has wrestled it off me and having a go now.

BabiesEverywhere · 02/06/2008 17:39

Well, I have to admit to having nothing in the house which needs ironing. I even ironed the bedding which normally just goes on the bed unironed

Flier · 02/06/2008 17:47

sorry I missed this at the time, would have loved one, i don't do ironing

currently £74.99 at comet.

lulumama · 03/06/2008 12:27

it arrived yesterday and is great !! really pleased

Sixer · 24/02/2009 14:24

so, 6 months down the line, can I ask how many of you have bought your replacement anti-scale cartridges direct from Morphy Richards? I didn't replace my first one for 6 months, my iron isn't even a year old and has now packed up.

eandh · 24/02/2009 14:26

nope not changed mine, its still working though

Sixer · 24/02/2009 14:32

you need to change them. If your baby packs up, like mine did last night! you've got no chance on the 2 year guarantee. I'm fuming! They want to know how often you change the anti-scale, and where you bought them from so they can check. Help... i've still got bundles of ironing to do.

eandh · 24/02/2009 14:33

right better order some - wonder if anywhere in town does them?

Sixer · 24/02/2009 14:50

mmm thats a point. I wonder if anyone has bought the cartridges from a high street.

eandh · 24/02/2009 15:16

You can get them on ebay for that model, hold on will link them

eandh · 24/02/2009 15:18

although very similar cost as buying direct

Sixer · 24/02/2009 15:52

brilliant! thanks for the link. Will speak to Morphy Richards again.

Sixer · 24/02/2009 18:16

thanks again for the link. On this occasion Morphy Richards will send me a new iron (upgraded as well, as they no longer make the one I have). So the low down is, unless you buy the anti-scale cartridges from them (so they can see how often you replace them), you're at risk of losing out on the 2 year guarantee. I bumped into a mum on the school run, who also bought the same steam generator, and hers didn't last a year either. So, make sure everyone on here that has bought the Morphy Richards steam Iron, change the anti-scale in them. The refills are much cheaper from them direct than anywhere else. They also ask what area you are in so they can check the water hardness!
