Help! What to buy for 22 year old DS for golf?

Hoping someone can help - I need to buy shorts and a shirt/polo shirt for DS who's going to play golf with friends. I can't reach DS (on a plane) and I loathe golf so have no clue what to get - I'm assuming tailored shorts and a polo shirt will be ok? What brand is decent or is just buy it from anywhere?

Yep. If he’s playing for the first time don’t bother with brands. Depending on how fancy the club, there may be rules about socks etc… worth a look at the website

some courses especially public ones are a lot more casual these days though

But to answer your question - if he’s wearing shorts, you need to check the etiquette of the course he’s playing at. They will definitely have to be tailored shorts, but some courses (unbelievably) insist that men wearing shorts also have to wear knee-high socks.

If you buy from a specific golf apparel retailer, you can end up paying silly prices. If the brand of clothing is important to your DS, then be prepared for that.

Otherwise, any polo shirt would be fine.

Sports Direct has a golf section so maybe check there?
