Can someone please explain why I have over £60 in Advantage points but yet each time I try to exchange them for items either on-line or in store, it will not let me check out so I end up paying with cash?😫

Not sure if the points expire if you’re earning them regularly, but I think you have your use your card once a year to keep them.

I also had this problem and like a pp it was the carrier bag. When the lady who worked there removed the carrier bag it allowed me to use my points. She said it’s because the money from the bags go to charity so you can’t use your points to buy a bag.

I had an issue with my card recently that it said it wasn’t registered and so I couldn’t spend the points. Could this be it?

You can't use them toward a purchase, you need to be able to pay in full for the item you order with those points. Could that be the issue?

I was wanting to buy a meal deal, I think having +£60 in points would more than cover the cost 😅

Received an email from Boots...
Unfortunately, I can confirm our Advantage Card team identified an issue with your Boots Advantage Card which has caused your account to remain in an Earn Only status, meaning you cannot spend your points
However, please be assured that I have managed to locate the issue that was presenting on your Advantage card and remove such error. You will receive full functionality to your Advantage card within the next 24-48 hours. 🙏

I had a problem when I tried using my old card when I'd not received the new one. Once id got a new one had my points transferred everything was fine. I could access my old advantage card online and view and collect my points etc just not use it spend points

I lost £65 of Boots points. The card wouldn’t work, the shop kept telling me to ring customer services, customer services either wouldn’t answer or would send me in circles and then disconnect. I try not to think too hard about it, or the things I could’ve got for those points…

Good to hear you got an answer and they've resolved it for you.
But who on earth wants an Earn Only card?? What's the point if you can't spend your points?

That’s dreadful @ObliviousCoalmine
I would follow that up. That is appalling customer service. I’d email head office.
I’d even email the CEO.
£65 is a fair bit of money that you are entitled to.

I know, it’s one of the life admin irks I need to chase.

The cynical part of me thinks it’s all a ruse that loads of people have had their cards stopped from spending points/lost points…
