what ring to buy that doesn’t look like an engagement one?

I’m coming up to 40 and single and want to buy myself a real gold ring with a gem.

im looking on Vinted and other second hand places, drawn to gold with an emerald. I like art deco style. I like flashy! Prob budget of £300 and to get real gold (not plated) will be second hand.

problem is I think a lot of them are old engagement rings. I won’t wear it on my ring finger but I hate the idea that someone might thing it is an engagement ring.

what style can I buy that is glam but firmly not engagement?!

That is beautiful! I did imagine a bigger gem but that really is stunning. I also irrationally worry about buying a second hand one that has a horrid backstory when it’s meant to be a really nice thing for me! Thank you!

I'd be looking for a vintage cocktail style ring, just an emerald on a gold band maybe? If the budget stretched you might get one with a diamond on each shoulder, I'd definitely recommend looking at vintage though for the style you're after 😊
