ds 2 next month, hasnt played with any of his toys for last few months. Have bought a few things since but not interested. Is causing a prob as he s getting bored (and into mischief) when we are at home. recently at my sisters who has 2 dd he liked playing with a type of playhouse thing (with little people) and a littlest pet shop thing.

Was looking at happyland but too expensive, even on ebay postage is like £10. He has always needed toys older than his age to keep him stimulated as he is very bright.

Any ideas?

If you can't afford postage why not try car boot sales?

My DS fave toys are-

toy kitchen with pots, pans and play food
balloons
balls
watering can, bucket and spade for digging up my garden
cars with people and a garage
mega bloks
tool set

VERY cheap things like the following entertain him for ages!

playdough- cutters, rolling pins and my pots and pans
chop up some veg with him and then let him play with it with your pots, jugs, spoons etc
