What would you buy if you had been given a £30 Waterstones voucher? Any really good book recommendations?

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. My favourite book- it was made into a Netflix show that really didn't do it any semblance of justice!

Ohhh this is on my TBR list as I was kindly gifted by a friend! I’d seen the series advertised but refuse to watch before I read haha!

The new Richard Powers, 'Playground'. IMHO one of the most underrated living writers (although he has a big following). Saw him speak about his new book when he was in the UK recently and I thought he was just so brilliant, and my DH, who I drag along to book events whenever he's willing, said it was the best book event he'd ever been to! He was so impressed he's now champing at the bit to read it - and I'm the book fiend in this partnership! 😂
And I'd buy an art book because £30 would be enough for both (or I'd add a bit...).

I only read fiction on kindle, so I'd buy maps or walking/travel guides if I had a voucher for there. Or perhaps cookbooks.
