I know it's a massive long shot but would any lovely mumsnetters happen to have a child who has grown out of/got bored with/never opened one of these flipping things? My boy has been asking for one for a good couple of years now, I keep telling him they don't make them anymore but I figured it might be worth a try, asking on here...

I know you can buy them online, but their don;t seem to be any official vendors. I'm very wary of the source and don't want to spent over 100 quid just to find out it's a fake, so if there is anyone on here who could help, I (and, most definitely, my son!) would be eternally grateful!

TIA

Sorry no help.

There's one on Vinted. Expensive though for £225

A few cheaper ones on EBay. If they don't sell them anymore there won't be any official vendors so second hand is probably the only option

Thanks all. I know it’d be second hand but I’d just feel more comfortable buying it from someone on here as opposed to a random on eBay, or even Vinted… Which is probably not very logical, given that it would be stranger either way, but there you go!

I guess I just trust my mumsnet crew more than your average random stranger!

there seem to be few official shops in the US that still sell them, e.g.
https://www.thespotlightstore.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAmMC6BhA6EiwAdN5iLWFFI0HgYDj5S2RZV78zstpt_l2H8bE4gH2RSolxs0-jqs_8JG0bQRoCG9gQAvD_BwE
says they deliver to the UK.

ebay is usually quite good at refunding you if you can prove things aren't genuine, and you could pay with paypal for additional protection as well.
