I bought my Ipod duty free at Gatwick

Furball · 27/04/2008 11:54

4 gb = £90 at amazon

8gb = £119 at amazon

Beetroot · 27/04/2008 14:20

4gb would be fine for my 9 year old?

thinking of getting one for running - a shuffle? or a nano?
want to listen to stories

shuffles are only £30 beetroot and fab for running.

Beetroot · 27/04/2008 14:29

can you listen to stories on a shuffle?

The thing about Shuffles - as I found out on here the other day - is that you can't choose playlists on them. So, if you have a specific 'running' playlist, you'd have to ensure that it's the only thing on the Shuffle before you go running. I'm looking at second-hand Nanos on eBay - they seem to go for about £35.

Beetroot · 27/04/2008 14:35

that is wwhat worries me about stories - surely it would shuffle the story around

OP posts:
Furball · 27/04/2008 14:38

it wouldn't shuffle the story beetroot as it would be one item.

Ambi · 27/04/2008 14:40

I'd get a normal MP3 player, ipod's are just a brand, and you have to use itunes which is awful.

Beetroot · 27/04/2008 14:41

we have accessories in he house that are ipod related.

Argos have some reduced about £32 for a Shuffle iirc

policywonk · 27/04/2008 16:08

The thing is, I've got loads of iTunes stuff that I've already bought, and they can't be played on other MP3s, can they?

Furball · 27/04/2008 16:24

they can if you burn them onto a cd first i think then recopy them from cd to mp3.

Thanks furball, that's a good idea. Might well save me £££ on over-priced Apple equipment.
