My 3yo's birthday is coming up and I'd like to get her a doll's house but can't seem to find one that meets all my requirements. I know it's insane, right, she'll love whatever I get her, but we have a small house so it will have to go in the living-room and I don't want to spend the next few years staring at something I hate 😂. So maybe I'm being unreasonable but I think it's important that I like the doll's house as well as her.
Here's the requirements list:
- Wooden.
- Has a front that can be shut with a door and windows.
- 3 stories high - two actual stories and an attic. It needs to have an attic which opens. Attics are fun, every house should be built with one. Our current house doesn't have an attic but the next one will! It is very important to me for reasons which I can't exactly articulate that the doll's house has an attic.
- Stairs to all floors and doors to all rooms - the dolls need to be able to move logically around the dolls house, if you know what I mean. So no floors/rooms that there is no sensible way to get to from the front door - I'm afraid this would annoy me too much even if DC would be unbothered!
- Relatively gender-neutral/neutral colours - I don't mind splashes of pink and blue but don't want one that is massively pink/flowery or massively blue. Greens/oranges/greys good but I haven't seen many of those.
- Decorated - not just plain wood.
Just wondering if some very helpful person has come across one which they can suggest!
