Something DS, 2.5 can comfortably rest on for drawing in his carseat???

DS loves to draw (with real pencils and crayons, not etch a sketch etc) and I would love to find him something he can comfortably draw with while strapped in his carseat.

We have the My Travel Art Desk from ELC which works okayish (so long as DH is driving; I need the seat too far forward) but I'd really like something that would stay put on his lap and that he can rest on and apply pressure to the paper without dropping everything every ten seconds.

A bean bag tray? Would that work? then stick a pot to the tray with superglue and put his crayons in the pot.

I never did this as it would have made me soooo sick and still would.

What seat is it? We have a fab tray for our Britax, Kiddicare sell them.

ivykaty, I thought of this but the trays are a bit too deep to sit reliably flat on the carseat. I get desperately carsick too but so far DS doesn't seem to suffer.

Imflight, we do have a Britax, but it doesn't seem to fit the Duo Plus which is the one we've got. Shall investigate this option further, as really they all ought to provide something like this.

no i havent, but i seen it in the catalogue and thought it looked great, my ds 4 would love it,but my dd 2 is a little young(she'd be drawing on my seats/windows/anything else that didnt move out her way lol) just now and it would be unfair to get ds one and not her.

Oh, what a pain - I've only seen them in Kiddicare, ours is a first class and it is brilliant. Britax might do other ones, if you try their helpline.
