Living abroad and looking for advice on what to get for a new mum back in the UK..

Hey everyone,

I could really use some advice/help. A dear friend of mine is due to give birth in a few weeks and as I live abroad, I feel so out of touch with what to get for her as a gift - both as to what is available/good in the UK, and what will show my support. A few of my mum friends (I'm not a mum myself just yet) I have asked have said about cooking or cleaning being the best gift, but that's just not possible for me to do with not living near her permanently. I really want to get something for her that is for her, she's not always the best at taking care of herself in the normal day-to-day, and I know there will be a million gifts for the little one and I worry she will get lost in it.. But I can see a lot of these "care packages" online have things like candles and bath salts, and that doesn't seem that helpful or nourishing to me (but maybe I'm wrong about that?) So I wanted to ask, what gifts have you seen or received yourself that were really good for you? What would you recommend? I'd really appreciate any help or ideas... Thanks x
