You know Sky plus and BT vision, where you can record and pause programmes etc?

Has there been a radio invented that does this? Do those new digital radios do it?

Sorry if it's obvious, I am not very up on this type of thing

You can get the radio channels on these TV systems so, yes, you can record and pause radio progs. But not sure about an actual radio....

Yep you can - i was bought one but no digital signal here.

Yurtgirl · 04/04/2008 23:39

On my gorgeous digital radio - Roberts, you can record but it only lasts for about 30 mins

So if you press the button and wander off, when you get back to the radio and press 'go' it will go back to the point you left it, up to 30 mins before

I cant say I ever use it tbh - loads of podcasts available now if you can be bothered!

Try Roberts-there are couple of models that record to a SD card and will also pause and/or rewind live programmes starting at about £150

Just seen replies. Thanks so much everyone.

I love the radio and have it on all the time during the day. Sometimes there are programmes I'd be interested in that are on late. I'd like to be able to record them and listen again during the day while I'm busy round the house.

Our tv does all that but it's limiting in that it's not portable like a radio is.
