Fitbit for 11 year old - kids or adult version

My 11 year old dd wants a Fitbit for Christmas. If there any point in getting the kids Fitbit or should I just get her an adult one? Does it need to be linked to an account?

I should add, I don't have a Fitbit so I don't already have an account and this is all very new to me.
