The Maxi Cosi looks more comfortable, with more padding etc.. I was deciding between them and went for it on that basis. But then (fortunately) the Mothercare carseat man was at lunch when I went to pick it up and his female colleagues couldn't get it into my car (it went in basically OK, but couldn't get the leg to lock into position). Nor could I.

Eventually carseat man came back from lunch and he got it in right away, but I still couldn't do it and nor could the other women -- we just couldn't put enough oomph into pushing the leg down. Which made it not much use as I was likely to be the one installing and uninstalling it.

By that point I'd already talked myself out of the Britax on the comfort factor, so just got the non-Priorifix Maxi Cosi Priori instead, which has been absolutely fine and is very easy to fix and transfer between cars even though it's not Isofix.

So... umm... I prefer the Maxi Cosi as a seat, but if going for the Priorifix version make sure you can install it in your car yourself unaided before you part with any money.

Thanks PortandLemon - that's a good point about the leg thing. Another trip to Mothercare coming up!
