About to get one of these for DS's 8th birthday - no idea what games would be good.

Can anyone recommend?

My DCs (ages 7,8,11 &12) all enjoy Sims2. Nintendogs,
Yoshi Island (my 7 yo DS in particular like this)
Harry Potter Goblet of fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix. Pokemon Blue dungeon rescue team.

ds1 8 years loves the follwing games:

Mario Brothers - absolute fav
Rayman raving rabbits
Lego Star wars - again an excellant game,
Pokemon diamond & pearl although ds said these are hard.

Thanks all - he gets disheartened by ones that are too hard!

Any more suggestions?

mario brothers is easy - has lots of mini gfames as well as the platform game.

Starwars - very easy and fun. Would recommend the comletel saga - include I & II. We have for ps2 but is available for ds.

Understand what you measn about them getting disheartened. I bought ds1 zoo tycoon and he really hasnt enjoyed it as quite complicated. He has played pokemon on his friends ds and found it hard although i believe with persistance it can be fun.

Mario brothers is the fav here as well. Mario Olympics too.

Harry Potter one not that favoured. Spiderman one not good, apparently.

I was disappointed with HP - action slow and repetitive and fights hard to win.

Thanks all for suggestions

Ok am about to order Mario - any more suggestions for me?
