and a 4.5 tog one here

what about next online popsy?

merrymarthamoo · 03/12/2004 10:32

Try Argos or places like Rosebys/Ponden Mill - both my boys have 4.5 tog ones all year round and I got them at one of those places (just can't remember which one - she says, somewhat unhelpfully

popsycal · 03/12/2004 10:33

just checked ikea site - they have stacks!
argos only have 13.5 tog!!!!

will try rosebys first as there is one down the road -though i am sure i looked there last week.....

thanks though ladies - i was banging my head against a brick wall!

IKEA's are a funny shape, you have to buy their covers too (not necessarily a bad thing...)

What about one of those 4 seasons ones, with a 4.5 and a 9 which snap together to make a 13? here's one . They're very adaptable.

popsycal · 03/12/2004 10:42

i like that too jan.....

i will have to avpid ikea then as a little two year old has his heart set on a particulr duvet (although it changes rapidly between about 3 differetn ones!!)

my only reservation (and a daft one) is where to store the other part of the duvet....

If you really have nowhere else to put it, popsy, lie it flat under the mattress.

popsycal · 03/12/2004 10:45

an ingenius idea marthamoo!

Marks & spencer online got 4.5 tog and they have extended 20% th8ng until 2 pm today.

JanH · 03/12/2004 10:46

Well they squash pretty flat so you could squeeze it into the smallest possible bag (or a pillowcase?) and keep it in the airing cupboard or wherever you keep bedding. (We have a combi boiler so no airing cupboard, I miss having one.)

StuffTheMagicTurkey · 03/12/2004 10:47

Posycal, I use those storage bags that shrink everything down (you stick a hoover in them and it sucks all the air out) to store duvets I'm not using. They are also brilliant for storing summer clothes in winter and vice versa. I think you can but them from Lakeland online and another company called Lawsons that sells online (they're a bit cheaper I think). I know its additional expense but they are so useful.

StuffTheMagicTurkey · 03/12/2004 10:48

sp buy!

noangel · 03/12/2004 10:49

Hmm, doesn't look like 20% thing includes duvets. Still they have got some - one's washable!

wordsmith · 03/12/2004 10:50

My DS's Ikea single quilt isn't a funny shape, and it's stuffed into a Next cover, so I think they're fairly adaptable.
