Phlatballs from Woolworths - anyone got one - are they good?

Am thinking about buying one for a party present for a friend of DD2.

Bumph says: Check out the Phlatball, the unique sports toy that transforms from a flying disc to a ball mid-air. Throw it as a frisbee, catch it as a ball - its variable time-delay feature provides means the transformation is always a surprise.

I like the sound of it but I'm not sure what the reality is ... so if anyone has one then I'd be really grateful for their thoughts.

TIA

bought one for my nephew when he was 6. it's a good laugh but novelty is short lived as with most toys! easier to throw than a frisbee

Thanks leifmum!

Well I'd be buying it for a 4 year old boy (with a 5.5/6 year old brother), and they've got a garden large enough to throw things in so I think I will go ahead and get it (and have a go when I go and see them one day ... as am itching to do so!!).

Thank you for your messages, they helped!

I found that the variable time delay feature was a crock of poo. It always popped out after 4 seconds

Maybe 'variable' meant that it was 4 seconds on your ball thingy but 5 seconds on someone else's and 6 on someone elses etc?
