Best hair dye to cover greys

I have considered going blonde so the greys aren't as noticed, however I really don't like my hair blonde, it doesn't suit me. I seem to dye my hair and within a week or two you can see the grey again. I dye my hair dark, can anyone suggest a good dark hair dye.
