MATTRESSES - FOAM or SPLASH OUT ON SPRINGS???????

I'm about to buy my 2.5 yr old's 1st proper bed (without mttress). So far his cot bed mattress is foam and has been absolutely fine.

Spring ones seem really expensive but am willing to pay up if they really are so much better than foam.

Ikea have them but they're still fairly expensive for us.

Is it really worth buying a sprung one? How robust are they these days against jumping toddlers?

TIA

Fruity

my ds had foam mattress in his bed and hardly slept at all he is 2.7

just got him single bed with sprung mattress and actually slept all night in his bed last night

your ds may well be fine with foam mattress maybe you could get soft mattress topper also just found they were too thin for my ds

sorry not much help as many people will find foam ok and then likes of my ds didnt like it but you can get mattress toppers for around 10 pound
