What are your opinions on wearing black to a Christening?

I have a Christening on Sunday.
My outfit choice is a black summery dress, blue denim jacket and pink sandals..

Would this be ok?

Christenings are Sunday Best sort of dress code, and black isn't as taboo as for a wedding, but still a bit questionable.

Do you have a jacket other than denim?
